The images filtering technology that DuckDuckGo has, is just not "safe" enough; We can't allow DuckDuckGo as a result.
We chatted with the DuckDuckGo team about the ability to just offer Web Search Results but there is no method to just allow Web Search Results and not Image Search Results. Google's "safe" results are just far superior and could likely a "human factor" issue where Google's users have reported, manually, thousands of times more often so this augments what the 'bots' can do.
So we'll keep engaging with the DuckDuckGo team and hope that we can one day offer DuckDuckGo as privacy is important.
