Apple no longer allows apps on the App Store that use the Device Management Profile for parental controls so the new version of Boomerang no longer has screen time, app and content controls. This has impacted Boomerang Parental Control and other parental control solutions such as Screen Time, Qustodio and others with whom I’ve personally discussed this development with. The timing is suspect since with Apple’s iOS12 update brings their own approach to Screen Time and app controls. Apple has removed customer choice on their platform, copied the innovators and added features inside iOS12 that only they can access.

Our current version of Boomerang for iOS required us to remove the Device Profile feature from our Child Mode which means we can no longer offer any screen time or app control features on iOS child devices. We remain committed to our Parent Mode on iOS as many of our users are mixed device families. In summary, if you are mostly invested on Apple's iOS devices, give their built-in Screen time features via your iPhone's Settings. For families with mixed devices (kids on Android, parents on iOS), Boomerang Parental Control remains a great choice for managing your kids' mobile devices.
