How do I get Boomerang's "Accessibility Permission" to stick around on Huawei device?

Background: Huawei has a modified the Android operating system so that the battery has more aggressive power savings and will optimize all Apps including Boomerang. This results in Boomerang's "Accessibility Permission" automatically turning off when the device is locked/unlocked or restarted.  This will result in Boomerang recording an event "Accessibility permission has been disabled" in the Boomerang Event Logs. 

Here’s what to do on the Huawei Device:

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Advanced Options > Ignore Optimizations and toggle "allow" for Boomerang.
2. Go to Setting > Battery > Find Exempt from battery optimization and add Boomerang as Allowed so that it is exempt from Battery Optimization.
3. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Manager > Protected Apps. Add Boomerang as an app that can keep running after the screen is turned off.

It’s a little different on different Huawei models but here’s the illustration.  Go to Settings, search for Battery and then find Exempt from battery optimization and add Boomerang as Allowed so that it is exempt from Battery Optimization.

 Go to Settings, search for Battery and then find Battery Manager, and then Protected Apps inside the Battery Manager.   Add Boomerang as an app that can keep running after the screen is turned off.

Finally, go to the Boomerang Web Management Dashboard and click on the Device, then Settings and CHECK the option for: “Block Power Saving Settings.”  This will now “lock in” the changes.

We think that this is a mistake on Huawei's part and have reached out to Huawei Support in Canada and have got feedback for workarounds but definitely want them to provide a more elegant solution that works out-of-the-box.
