Location refresh for Android child devices should occur automatically as the device moves as long as it has a strong cellular connection (wi-fi works too but wouldn't provide a consistent refresh of location until the device is connected to a wi-fi connection).

Android devices

A few tips to check on your child's Android device: 

1. Set "Location access for this app" is set to Allow all the time
   • Go to Settings > Location > Boomerang. 
2. Does your child's device have a good internet connection at all times (data via cellular and wi-fi)? Are there specific times when the refresh is slower?
3. Does your child use the aggressive battery saver enabled? This can sometimes turn off the GPS to save additional battery.
4. Could it be the device is turned off or in Airplane mode?

Parent Mode and Web Dashboard

Location information can be viewed and updated from our Android or iOS Parent Mode or via our web dashboard. Commands can take up to 30 seconds to refresh providing your child's device has a good network connection and the device's GPS signal is strong.
