Hi, on the dashboard i see that under settings Prevent Safe Mode is checked. What does that mean? Why would i want to prevent safe mode??

Boomerang is the world’s first and only parental control solution to incorporate Samsung Knox’s technology to enable additional controls at the hardware layer that is not possible with other android devices.  Features like making sure the GPS is never turned off, Safe Mode cannot accessed to bypass any security, Multi-User mode is blocked (mostly on tablets) so no bypassing of our service is allowed, and many others that parents can easily review and enable all depending of their needs via our Boomerang Web Management Dashboard.  If you have a Samsung device, we automatically show the Samsung Knox specific security features which are on by default under the Settings Tab.

What is Safe Mode itself? 

While the name implies that we want it, we actually do not.  Safe Mode is a “troubleshooting mode” that starts the device with only the original software that came with it.  It’s used to troubleshoot Apps that may be freezing, crashing, or be slow. If it allowed, then a child can boot into Safe Mode where Boomerang is not running since Boomerang was not part of the original software that the phone came with.  So keep our “Prevent Safe Mode” checked!
