Why is a website blocked as Streaming Media?

Solution:

• If it is in fact a streaming media site, then use Boomerang or Filter Chrome to Unblock the Streaming Media Category.
  
  
• If it is not a streaming media site, then Report the site to us and we'll take a look.

Background:

The Streaming Media category is a very broad category and one that robots often get incorrect as so many sites have some streaming these days so the robots often categorize them as Streaming Media falsely.

We treat the Streaming Media category a little differently in our products:

SPIN Safe Browser:

By itself, SPIN Safe Browser does not block the Streaming Media Category.

Boomerang Parental Control:

For extra safety to protect our Kids, when Boomerang is installed, then we block the Streaming Media Category. You can adjust categories by logging into the Boomerang Web Management Dashboard and then clicking on the Device. Then click on the Browsing Tab. Here, click on EDIT and uncheck the Streaming Media Category to get blocked sites under this category to work.

Filter Chrome:

It's an option to block the Streaming Media Category; it is not blocked by default.
