Background
The battery optimization on some ASUS devices can occasionally break our Accessibility permissions service. Exempting Boomerang from any optimizations usually fixes this issue.
When Boomerang losses Accessibility Permissions, our app blocking and app usage will stop working. You'll notice your daily emailed and Parent Mode reports contain no app usage and apps are not being blocked. Another hint, our full screen will pop up saying we've lost these permissions and re-enable but without exempting Boomerang, this can become an endless loop.
We have so far the following example devices, if you have a different model that this tip worked for, please leave it in the comment below and we'll update our article.
Solutions
ASUS Zenfone V (Android 7.0):
- Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization. Exempt Boomerang.
